12 Strand UHMWPE Rope
PowerMax rope is a 12 strand construction made of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber with a special treatment process wich makes it a very strong but very light rope thats is 1/7 of the weight of steel wire rope. A unique coating and special heat treatment provides excellent wear and abrasion resistance. The construction is non rotational, offers low elongation and does not store energy like a conventional rope or wire rope, therefore the risk of recoil is largely reduced. The rope is easy to splice, and its ease of handling offers greater productivity and safety.
