8 inch x 11 metre Superflex Mooring Tails
Mooring tails / pendants are introduced into a high modulus / low stretch mooring or towing line system. Their primary use is to provide elasticity in a low stretch line (wire rope or high modulus synthetic rope) which reduces the peak loads in the main line, allowing for the ship to respond more favourably to wind, wave and current conditions for a safer operation. .
SuperFlex Ropes are strong, durable and developed for ease of handling. This Polydacron rope has a high strength to weight ratio, with excellent abrasion resistance against internal and external friction.
